Program

We know that children learn best through an experiential and intentional approach to teaching and learning, and that each child is inherently capable and competent. Drawing from the best practices in early childhood education, and with specific inspiration from the Reggio-Emilia philosophy, children will learn through an innovative, inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum where they actively participate in the learning process.

Our school is built on the belief that the earliest events in a child's life are the most formative and critical determinants of their development.

At The Gan, we take pride in partnering with parents during their children’s first school experience. We strive to be an extension of your home, and this is especially evident in the warm, comforting environment we create for The Gan family.

Our experienced educators encourage our infants’ innate curiosity and rapid development by providing a safe, loving, and engaging environment for our babies to explore the world around them. Aware of each child’s individual patterns, we help establish a schedule with eating, frequent diaper changes, and naps when needed. Interaction with each child is responsive, thoughtful, and intentional in every way.

As a partner with parents, we help integrate each baby’s development into a seamless transition between school and home.

Toddlers are mobile and curious about the world around them, ready to explore with all their senses. By observing their behavior and responses, we cater to their inquisitiveness by using the room as a third teacher. This helps build their confidence and self-esteem, invites curiosity and discovery, and most importantly, fosters strong, respectful relationships.

Our toddlers begin to engage in sensory experiences, create art, learn songs, have exposure to science experiments, and participate in block building and dramatic play in a deeper and more multifaceted manner. Our classroom provokes learning through play, such as sorting, counting, pre-reading and math, colors, and much more.

They begin gaining their independence and fine and large motor skills by learning how to feed themselves, find their own cubbies, and understand routines all while growing their verbal language skills.

Our toddlers feel empowered and capable, excited to explore in their loving and safe environment.

“When we first arrived at Chabad's Gan, we immediately felt at home. Beyond the beautiful design, the Gan is built in a way that will suit various ages, and it’s noticeable that every little detail was thought of. The staff works with love and patience and therefore, I trust the Gan’s staff to take care of my baby, and if we weren't returning back to Israel, Chabad's Gan would undoubtedly be our first choice.”

“It can be quite stressful to find the right place for your child. The Gan made it easy and our son is having so much fun. He loves his teachers and all the activities he gets to do! We also love that we can follow along his day on the special app where we get updates about food, diapers, nap and we also get very cute pictures! I would 100% recommend The Gan!”

“I love bringing my little one to mommy and me! Each class is interactive and fun with a combination of crafting, challah braiding, and music time. It’s a joy to be able to bring Judaism into my daughter’s life every week in an engaging and fun way. It’s also been a great way to connect with other families with kids the same age in the neighborhood.”

Parents love the Gan!

At The Gan, we value exposing the children to a variety of healthy foods in order to help expand our children’s food repertoire. Each day, breakfast and lunch is served in addition to a morning and afternoon snack. We offer a variety of choices for our pickiest little eaters, with the intention that everyone finds something that they can eat a sizable portion of. At the same time, children are exposed to new foods that they may not usually eat and are encouraged to widen their palette of healthy foods. They may even discover these new healthy dishes actually taste delicious!

Food at The Gan

We maintain the highest level of kosher standards. We serve Glatt Kosher meat, Chalav Yisroel dairy, and Pas Yisroel breads, crackers, and pretzels.
